The date is the send date
The date on Refund Approved is when the IRS sends the refund, not when your bank posts it. Direct deposits usually show up within a few days of that date; a check spends extra days in the mail.
If the date passes
Wait for Refund Sent. If the tracker says Refund Sent and the money is not there, ask your bank first. A missing paper check can be traced after 28 days from the day it was mailed.

Can the amount on Refund Approved differ from my return?
Yes. If the IRS changed your return or used part of the refund to pay a debt, you get a notice explaining the difference.
